This is a beautiful thangka painting of Medicine buddha who is also called Bhaisajya Tathagatta or healing buddha. This Thangka has a black background upon which bright color and gold paint has been used to paint Healing Buddha and his throne.
In Tibetan medical tradition Bhaisajya buddha is said to be the source of all medical treaties. This buddha is invoked for eliminating disasters and sickness.
All paintings are hand drawn on primed cotton canvas using mineral and vegetable pigments along with 24 carat pure gold.
The work duration ranges between one month to one and half year per painting depending upon the details.
Every painting is nicely packed with hand made lokta paper and is put inside a strong non bendable PVC Pipes for expedition.
